Winter Break
Hello everybody. There's been a while since I last wrote to you and there could be two reasons why. I'm either to lazy since I've had “Sportlov” = Swedish for winter break. Or Erica doesn't give me enough assignments. Anyway, I'm about to tell you guys about something I did on my break.
Me and my family packed our bags and jumped in our car early on Thursday morning.
We drove about 50 km until we reached a place called Sälen. After that, we checked in to our ski-hotel where we were going to stay until Sunday morning and rented our skis.
It sounds good but things didn't quite as well as we were planning.
Friday was going to be our first day in the slope. We put on our equipment and took the lift to the slope.
The slope was emptier than usually and I started to ask myself why but then I went down the slope and I realised why there were so little people skiing. IT WAS FREAKING ICE COLD! But since we had spent a lot of money on this trip, we kind of had to ski for a while at least.
We enjoyed the after-ski and the rest of the day a lot more than the day in the slope.
The next day wasn't a lot of fun. It was Saturday and we were about to go out to the slope but the wind didn't agree. It was worse than the day before. So we simply packed our bags and went home again. Thousands of SEK spent to drive 100 miles and we couldn't even enjoy our only day in the slope. Success I say.
By the way. A bird told me that i was going to connect my happening to a song. That's why i'd like to post Arvingarna - Eloise since they were performing on the after-ski.
